Jeff Katofsky is husband, father of 2 boys and a trial lawyer with substantial civil litigation experience (over 150 trials) in real estate, business, construction, injury, corporate, finance, insurance and property and casualty, and intellectual property. Jeff is a graduate of the Boalt Hall School of Law (UC Berkeley). Jeff’s acumen as an entrepreneur and hands-on operator differentiates him from other business attorneys. Jeff has developed over a million square feet of commercial real estate, owns professional sports teams and facilities, multiple hotels, and businesses in retail, entertainment, real estate, food and hospitality. With decades of business experience, Jeff has a keen eye towards problem solving and risk avoidance for his clients.

Simon Y. Song is an associate attorney at Katofsky Law. He practices general civil litigation, with an emphasis on business, real estate and personal injury matters. Prior to joining the firm he worked as a pro bono attorney on two separate occasions at a nonprofit disability discrimination agency, as he has always had a passion for doing work that benefits the disabled community. Additionally, he has also worked at two separate insurance defense firms, one of which primarily handled cases involving student injuries at schools, and the other handling cases against trucking and transportation companies arising out of medium to large scale vehicular accidents. Finally, Mr. Song also has transactional experience via his experience as a legal consultant at an overseas biopharmaceutical company, which consisted primarily of analyzing and drafting of a range of different agreements (i.e. material transfer agreements, clinical trial agreements, consulting agreements, etc.).

 

Simon Y. Song earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor in 2007 and his J.D. in 2011 from the University of San Diego. He is admitted to practice before all California State courts.

gary salomons

Gary K. Salomons, of Salomons Law Group, LLC, has extensive practice in all major areas of business litigation, as well as transactional representation.  Mr. Salomons specializes in civil, business, real estate and collection litigation.

 

Mr. Salomons received his Bachelors of Science Degree from California State University, Northridge, in 1983, and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Southern California in May, 1986.  While at USC Law School, he externed for the Honorable Barry Russell, United States Bankruptcy Court Judge, Central District of California.  Mr. Salomons was admitted to practice law in the State of California in December 1986, and the State of Nevada in October 1987.  Mr. Salomons is admitted to practice in various Federal Courts, including the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.

 

In over 30 years of practice, Mr. Salomons has successfully represented clients in a broad range of business litigation, real estate disputes, and general litigation matters.  In the late 1990s, Mr. Salomons successfully founded, and operated with partners two businesses in the health care field, one a durable medical equipment company and one a non-prescription diabetic supply company.  For over 5 years, Mr. Salomons was the general counsel for a finance company, before returning to private practice in Beverly Hills in 2005.  

 

Mr. Salomons’ transactional experience focuses primarily on the formation of corporations and limited liability companies, corporate governance documentation, licensing agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and a wide range of corporate agreements. 

 

Mr. Salomons has successfully tried both jury and bench trials.  He has also negotiated favorable resolutions in countless mediations and settlement conferences.
